Meet our Staff
Pastor Troy & Julie Smothermon
Pastor Troy and his wife, Julie were married in 1991. They have six children: Tyler and his wife Alicia, Cody and his wife Jacqueline, Garret, Colton, Tucker and Jalen. They are blessed grandparents to one grandson and one granddaughter. Pastor Troy is widely known for his heart to reach lost and hurting people and for boldly following an innovative vision to touch lives. In January 2002, Pastor Troy and his family moved to Roswell to accept the position as Pastor of Church on the Move. The need to heal divisions within the city became immediately evident, and the ministries he has created have been aimed at reaching people across vast economic and social backgrounds. Pastor Troy believes that hope, which only Jesus provides, is the greatest gift we can offer our world, and he works tirelessly to establish God’s hope in the hearts of families throughout Roswell and beyond. His special emphasis on children and youth resulted in the explosive growth of Church on the Move. Pastor Troy’s vision includes many outreach programs, providing the community with family events where the Word of God can be heard and demonstrated.
Julie has had the opportunity to speak to thousands of women in several different venues. Julie is currently leading the Inspire Women’s Ministry and has been the key speaker at this conference since 2003. The grace with which Julie speaks comes from a deep indwelling of Jesus in her life. Her incredible ability to touch the hearts of women from all walks of life is the result of a healthy long marriage and caring for her children.
Together, they host the annual Joy of Marriage Conference, where they share the knowledge and wisdom, they have gained from over three decades of experience being married. They have the desire to help couples go from survival to “thrival” (as Pastor Troy says). They believe that outside of our relationship with God, our relationship with our spouse is easily the most important and most valued in our entire lives.
Pastor Shawn & Monica Kelly
Pastor Shawn has served in the ministry since he was 18 years old. He moved to Roswell in December of 2005. Pastor Shawn began to serve at Oneighty, the praise team, and as a deacon. He became a staff member in February of 2007. Pastor Shawn also received his Associates in Business in 2018.
In September 2012 he married his amazing wife Monica. They have a wonderful blended family with three children: Reshea, Johnathan and Aydan, and seven grandchildren. Monica currently serves in helping Pastor Shawn lead the Defenders of the Cross motorcycle ministry.
His calling is to fulfill the desires God has placed in his heart by seeing the body of Christ set the standard for the world, and leading people to Jesus as a result of that. Pastor Shawn believes there is nothing greater than seeing someone give their heart to Christ.
