Pastor Troy smothermon
Host of the Joy of Marriage Conference
Pastor Troy is the founder and host of the annual Joy of Marriage Conference, an event he created 21 years ago out of a deep and enduring passion to see marriages thrive. From the very beginning, his heart has been to help couples discover the joy found in marriage by strengthening communication, deepening connection, and encouraging intentional growth, all with Jesus at the center.
Pastor Troy believes that outside of our relationship with God, our relationship with our spouse is the most important and valuable relationships in our lives. This belief continues to shape the purpose and direction of the conference year after year.
Pastor Troy often says his desire is to help couples move from simply surviving to truly “thriving” or “thrival.” This conference is designed to invest in every marriage, no matter the season, and to point couples back to God’s design for love, unity, and lasting joy.
